“If you don’t go after what you want, you’ll never have it. If you don’t ask, the answer is always no. If you don’t step forward, you’re always in the same place.
-Nora Roberts
There have been many times in my life where I questioned why something was happening to me. In my darkest times I’d wonder, “Was it something I did to bring this on? Why is this happening now?” Once the clouds cleared and there was a ray of sunlight guiding my path, I always realized there was a purpose, a reason. This was supposed to happen. Now, it’s not always easy to understand that when you’re in the depths of despair, but knowing this has been my north star, leading me through tough times with the strength, courage and tenacity to believe I was destined to continuously learn, grow and thrive.
The question I get asked the most is how did I make it. How did an Italian girl from Long Island work her way up from working in a record store to becoming the CEO of the third largest residential real estate company in the country?
I had big dreams.
It didn’t matter what I was doing. I always gave myself the freedom to think BIG. You need to make connections in this world, whether you speak to people like Lincoln Frost to help with your property development needs, or you liaise with similar companies, you need to know that when you dream big you have to take big steps. You can’t go into a business idea without a set out plan first, you need to know what you are aiming for and give yourself a time limit for that so you have a goal to reach, big or small in this case, then you can slowly plan what pieces you need to fit together for the bigger picture. You’ll need to be looking at things like software (more on that below), you also might want to think about how you can click here for gusto pricing to help with your HR section when you are starting out as well. The possibilities for you to get to that big dream are endless with determination.
Ok, I realize that dreaming big is not really earthshattering or new for most of you, especially if you’re an entrepreneur. It does take a few more things to create something that sticks. For instance, creating a business plan consists of the necessary measures to establish a company, a few strategies to clear compliance assessments with the help of environmental consulting firms, marketing strategies, business loans application process, etc.
While executing these plans, an entrepreneur may be able to accomplish all this by themselves. Hence, they can hire the necessary staff and business planners to get guidance and successfully launch a company. Moreover, there can be another option of utilizing resources such as Software development phoenix companies, or ones similar, to make an impression and begin with a strong starting point. But the truth is, without a dream, what are you really aiming for? It doesn’t make a difference if your dream is big or small. What matters is zeroing in and having THE DREAM.
That’s really the first step.
Like anything in life, to achieve your dream, you’ll need a plan. How am I going to get from here to there. Back in the days before GPS, if you wanted to drive somewhere you’d never been, you needed to use map. Los Angeles had the Thomas Guide. AAA had the “TripTik”planner, and then, of course, there were actual maps that were impossible to read if you were driving. I can remember sitting at my kitchen table, marking my path from my home to my destination in bright colored highlighter. I’d draw a line, marking every turn I’d need to make to get me there. While I am far more partial to Siri and GPS these days, there was something rather connective and inspiring in figuring our my best course ahead of time on those road trips. And, I’ve carried that habit into everything I do in business too.
The best way to achieve your dreams is pretty simple.
It boils down to 6 Fundamental Beliefs.
Are you ready?
Here they are:
These six beliefs have carried me through every challenge I have ever faced in life and business and, they’re the building blocks to achieving your dreams.
Do you have a dream?
Please don’t say no. We all need a “dream.”
Don’t tell me you are too old to dream. Every day is a new opportunity to start something new.
Don’t tell me your dream is impossible. When you think about it, “Impossible” is really someone’s opinion. It’s not necessarily fact-unless you make it that way. What is possible is your decision. You breathe life into your dreams just as you can be the kiss of death of it. Positive thinking is powerful thinking. If you want success, you have to be willing to go out and seek it-not just dream about. Not just talk about it. But DO something to get you there. Massive, determined action is the only path to success. It’s your “roadmap.” So, what are you waiting for?
Tell me your greatest hopes. Share your visions-your dreams.
I’d love to hear from you!
